    Question 1.8T dipstick reading question

Where should the dipstick read when full with a lager capacity filter? I just did an oil change yesterday and used appx 4 and 1/4 quarts of mobil 1 and a larger mobil 1 filter. The level is up to the curve part of the dipstick just past the shaded area. Is this right? I'm guessing the top of the shaded area was for when using the small filter?

I've read on the forums that its 3.7 quarts with the small filter and I believe 4.3 quarts with the large.

i also did roughly 4.5ish, maybe less with the big filter.
but its all in the dipstick reading. IIRC what the dipstick looks like,
it should be in between the shaded region.
