1 Week Impression of APR FSI Pump Upgrade with Software.

So now since Monday i have the software upgrade for the APR FSI Pump. My current mods now are APR 93 Stage 2, APR FSI Pump with Software, AWE Full Exhaust, Euro Code Test Pipe, Carbonio CAI, Forge DV, i have other mods but these are all performance. This car has become an absolute animal, if i pin it out of the whole with a 1500rpm powerbrake with esp off i spin the tires. Im doing 0-60 in 5.5 according to my vag com performance meter. The car has really woken up. The car pulls really hard at about 2500rpms and does not stop until redline. The car feels alot more linear without big hp/tq spikes. There is one more mod i have in mind and thats an intercooler. I thought i would really feel the K03 runny out of breath at around 6800rpm but its not to bad. Im really happy with this car and cant imagine it any better with a stock turbo. I actually drove an S4 at a dealer 2 months ago and there is no way its alot faster, maybe a 10th of a second but thats it. I will be taking my car to the 1/4 mile April 13th, i will run 100 octane, no rear seats, headrests, tool kit, spare etc.. Im hoping to run a 13.7-13.8@100-101mph. Gotta go drive the beast now!!

How do you remove the rear seats? You are the third or forth person I have seen (all recent) saying that you've removed the back seats. I wouldn't mind doing this every time I go to the track.

I haven't removed the rear seat on my car yet, but i have done it on a B5 S4 and a C5 A6 so i doubt its any harder on this car. The bench part pops right off when you pull up on it, but im not sure how to get the back part off. Shouldn't be too bad. The rear seats, tool kit, spare, headrests and other assorted things that like 150lbs and about 2 tenths of a second off the 1/4 mile time.

That's what I hear too. 2/10 of a sec is a reasonable improvement. Do you plan on getting the "beast" on a dyno any time soon?

Sounds like a really fun car, I don't have the money or the time to go that far in the upgrading processes but you have really shown what the car can do with the k03. NOw just put the k04 in, I don't see whats stopping you. I am anxious to here what your car does at the track

woohoo some good competition from the tips. The next time I go to the track I'll be in the 13's without a problem.

The car is just so much fun to drive. It pulls so hard especially in 3rd gear. I love this car!! 40-100 it has ridiculous pick up, i played with my uncles 69' Charger SRT8 Engine and he only pulled 1 1/2 cars on me off the roll and that car runs high 12's all night.

i without you apr fsi fuel pump pull on s4 or have before.. we push much more torque giving us greater momentum by far.. cold night down Sepulveda s4 wouldnt have a chance..

if the race is at all slightly up hill we start loosing huge advantages due to the s4 just pushin out more horspower out of a Strong V8
