    Not the GT71R, but close!!!

I ordered one thing but installed what they gave me...a GTRS Eliminator. It's not too bad, I was hoping for a bit more of a punch, but it will do until the BAT and stroker get put together The built AEB head with cams will be on in the next few weeks and I'm curious to see what it will do on the track, I'm doing a track day on the 9th and hopefully drags this next weekend. I'm hoping for high 13's in the 1/4...but who knows. I still haven't launched it real hard so i'm a bit nervous.

Either way, its a good little set up. Its not "fast" but its a great daily driver set up. Of course I'm only running 20 lbs of boost so I'm sure there's more to have.

as far as power is concerned. 71r = GTRS. so no big deal there.. and high 13s? what's your elevation there in Oregon? cause it can't be worse than the 5000ft i have to deal with here in Utah. and i managed a mid 13 on a gt28rs. you'll be in the low 13s with some good driving.. and 12's with some great driving.

and what clutch are you running? i was really nervous the first time i did a 5k rpm drop. but once you do it a few times you realize that Audi's are built tough(no Ford tough, but they're built tough) haha

Our tracks at roughly 372ft above sea level. And I can see a GT28RS do mid 13's, but an eliminator...I'd be cool with high 13's.

I'm running a south bend stage 3 clutch, and I've dropped it at high revs...but with a K03.

dude, the fastest times for the B6 so far(12.6s, 12.7s, 12.8s) have all been with either a GTRS, or 71r elim..

and droping high revs with a k03 vs a BT is really close to the same thing. as long as the revs are the same, the initial stress is about the same.. it's definately not outside of the OEM drivetrains tolerances

um no....I bought a GT71R but after many problems from ATP and Eurocode I just put on the GTRS they sent me. The AEB head will not be put on for another couple of weeks, and is only being put on this motor (instead of waiting for the 2.0 stroker) is the current head needs to be rebuilt. So instead of building two heads I'm just puting the AEB on early. And yes, it will be a waste with that small turbo, but that turbo wont be on long.

GTRS Elim kit, AWE front mount, stock motor (head/internals), SB clutch, 3" test pipe to 2.5" all the way back.

There's suspension and bbk upgrades but that's about it

Hmmm maybe the half inch loss in exhaust is causing you to lose some power?

dude I ran a 13.35 @ 100mph on pump gas (93 octane) when I first got my GTRS on Timing 5 and boosting 22psi in about 70 deg weather. You can EASILY run a low 13 on race gas on timing 9 boost 9 if you know how to drive even somewhat descent (getting like a 1.85 60ft).

I have ran 13.1s and 13.2s boosting only 20psi (kit is capable of 24-25) on timing 9 at 102-103mph. The track was at 167ft where I did my fastest runs (12.75, 12.80, 12.81, 12.8x, 12.8x, 12.9x) and when having boost trouble at the other track where I did the 13.1 and 13.2s was at an elevation of 67ft. and was in high 80s-low 90s.

And as far as power levels go, here is a comparison between mine and another members dynos (me with GTRS and the other a 71r eliminator) we have the two highest peak power dynos. My best run being a 12.75@108mph and the other car a 12.8x@107mph

    dyno graph breakdown

As you can see, the thought of the 71r being able to make alot more power is pure nonsense because it is the same size turbo housing as the GTRS but has a bigger wheel stuffed in it which causes poorer flow.
