I do not seem to understand why my F-hose has oil residue on it? I am positive that it does not leak yet every time the car is driven I see this:

There doesnt look like there is alot of oil on the F-Hose to me at least. Is there any oil residue on the motor? Maybe there is an issue with another part and that is just blowing oil on the f hose? Maybe a headgasket?? Or the intake manifold gasket has found a little spot and some residue has come out a little..

    Cheers

    Re: F-hose concern

honestly i cant see much residue in that picture

I agree with you about the enigma.. when I replaced my f hose, which was very covered in residue..I could not find a single hole!? I dont know what pressure the oil is going through there?

Perhaps if it is high enough pressure wise do you think maybe its shooting out from the end points a little?

Well let me be more clear. Every time I drive the car there is an oil film on the samco hose, I wipe it down with my hand and it's oil for sure. I realize there is about 25 psi going through there but no other hoses feel wet such as this one.

I guess question would be if anyone else has noticed that. Especially the stage 3 people.

I certanly hope it's not the head gastket, the car runs good and there is no coolant leaks.

Is there any oil residue around your cam gasket? To answer your question, I haven't notice any oily residue on the F-hose on my car. I would suspect that unless you are getting blow-by and there's a leak in the hose, you are probably just getting some oil spray from a leak somewhere in the cylinder head nearby.
