    rear blinker bulb

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have an 04 A4 Avant and one of the rear blinkers went out ... thinking that this was a simple bulb replacement, I went to remove the exterior lens but can't figure out how to do it - no external fasteners and looks completely sealed. Can someone tell me how to get the lens off? I really don't want to pay my dealer 50 bucks for a bulb replacement.

My apologies if this has been answered somewhere else - I searched around a bit but did not find anything.

    Thanks!

    Re: rear blinker bulb

Your car may be different, but I access rear bulbs from inside the trunk of my 96 a4.

    Re: rear blinker bulb

there's one screw holding the housing in, it's located behind a little removable cover on the inside of the car about half way up the tail light. unscrew the screw and then roll the taillight assembly away from the car(that's the best way I can describe it.) the whole thing comes out as one piece and then you can replace the bulb. it's a little hard to pull the assembly out, but it's definately only the one screw. and be careful not to let the screw fall in down behind the trunk trim.

    Re: rear blinker bulb

Thanks ifloodt - I didn't even notice the removable cover on the inside, but that was exactly right ... bulb replaced - $2.15 at my local auto parts store.
