Need some help with my headlights

So yesterday I removed my bumper to change my grille to an RS4 one. I also did the CC mod along with swapping my HIDs to 6000k (I have bi-xenon). So after making sure the HIDs were working properly, I put everything back and left my friend's garage. After driving for half an hour I turned on my headlights to find out my passenger side projector was not working!!! It was throwing a code on my display saying "rigged headlight".

So today I was about to go to my friend's house to waste another long day working on the car, but when I tried out my projectors, it worked again! Does anyone know what's going on? Do you think the d1s bulb is just loose or could there be another reason? Thanks in advance for your input.

They are brand new prolumen bulbs bought from an az member. I'm thinking since it's working today that it must be loose in the housing. I just want some more advice incase this has happened to someone before. I dont want to tackle the hassle again

Re: Need some help with my headlights

I'm gonna bump this thread in search of any info because one of my headlights randomly went out again.

So I turned on my car and the HIDs were both working fine. I drive to my friend's house to pick him up and I turned off my engine. When I restarted the car, the passenger side HID was not working again. We went to the gym and 2 hrs later I started the car and the passenger side HID was working fine again! Does anyone know what's wrong?

It sounds like it doesn't want your inferior Xenon bulbs.

Swap the stock bulb back in and see if that fixes it, that one bulb could be defective.

First, make sure that all connections are tight and switch the bulb from left to right to see if the problem follows. If it does follow, then it is the problem with that particular bulb. If the problem stays same on the same side, it would be the problem with ballast.

Thanks for the advice. I will try it sometime in the next few days.
