PES G3, 2 days, blown engine.(maybe)(help)

Okay so here's the story. Drove it all day, wasn't hard on it at all. The one time I went wot was about 100mph, cel startsa flashing and before I knew it smoke was in the cabin. Pulled over immediately popped the hood, oil everywhere. Can't tell where it came from but it sprayed and it looks like it came from the left side.

Anyone know where the oil coulda came from? Lost about a quart.. Car still starts bit only kept it running for a sec with no grinding noises.

Yep, sounds blown. Why in the world were you going wot when the tune ins't right? You know the tune isn't right because you had a flashing cel before. Get it towed to a shop and they will tell you if its blown pretty quick.

You must have no common sense. Several people told you that your tune was leaning out up top, and also advised you not to push the car, but you still did it. I wouldn't be surprised if you blew the motor. Good luck sorting it out, and hopefully you'll listen to others next time.

yeah but.. i called PES. Logged with them and they said everything was A OKAY. The cel only came on 1 time in the fist 10 miles, which was fine. They said it was fine.. so i got on it fucking ONCE and it blows? are you kidding me? Less than 300 miles, done for huh?

what do you mean "logged with them?" you have logs from a vag-com? can you post those up so we can see what happened?

I was told once 3.0 King that car needs to have lots of time to adapt and then it cannot be pushed too hard with stock internals. That's why I won't get S/C on stock engine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but PES doesn't have their own software.

They switched over to tuning in-house around November of 2006. They need a little more practice because a year and a half later and they still suck at it.

It doesnt matter how many times you push it. A car that is not running in the right condition will get damaged, ONCE...It only takes one run, and u can be F'ed. Obviously... this is your case. Good luck man.

Not to worry tho..dads a car dealer and found a salvage a4 for me for free (one of his buddies has a burnt a4 with a good motor) its mine!

You had already said you were on the car at mile 15 going 100 mph wot. As was already said, I think these cars require quite some time to adapt and shouldnt be pushed hard until they have been able to do so. Whenever you mod a car like this you should check to make sure everything is running right. You can't just put a kit on and drive like an idiot without checking that everything is fine with the motor particularly when you hear pinging.

There may be a problem with PES tunes, I don't know. There are plenty of healthy running cars out there though. Regardless, if you ignore the warnings your car is giving you, as well as the warnings of others, it is your own fault.

I know I'm sorry but its my own damn fault I didn't listen to you.. Now I have. Blown motor. It sounds like it has np compression and now burns oil. If you take off the oil cap it sputters and dies.

Listen the car was running perfect according to pes, me and my dad. No pinging. Not a single cel. No weird noises.. It had to be the shitty tune. Didn't run lean otherwise only at boost, and there goes a piston ring. It ran perfect beyond reason..

already blew a 1.8 up due to sludge. in a jetta. turbo went out due to no oil pressure.. but motor was fine. (wasnt my car i just happen to drive it at a shitty time

Please let me know if you are willing to sell me your blown motor. I would love to sleeve it and install custom Spec Je pistons and cunningham rods in it.

Something's starting to sound fishy here. Earlier, you said you had access to a free engine and now you're saying you're just going to dump the car with the existing broken engine instead of swapping them?

I find it hard to believe you won't recover at least the cost of labor for the swap, especially as you have to remove the supercharger, etc. anyway, not to mention clean up all that oil. Wholesale auction buyers aren't stupid, you know, and when they have any doubts about a car -- as they likely will about a car that barely runs -- they bid low enough to leave themselves a cushion, just in case...

Of course, it appears you're not one for advice, so I'll skip that and just offer you good luck and cross my fingers for you...

I do. but you dont know the story on my car. i have 6k in the damn car. THE CAR HAS NO TITLE, I DRIVE IT ON DEALER PLATES. The car was a buy back from audi, i bought it bc it had a check engine light that they coudlnt figure out.. Its a lemon car that can only be sold for parts only. I mentioned earlier that my dad is a dealer.. so theres your answer. If i cant get 4-5 k out of my car, ill be damnned. Im expecting pes to take their damn supercharger back, so i should loose a grand in this mess. better than the labor for swapping motors. It seems like a good tune isnt coming soon for the s/c anyways other wise id prolly do the swap and keep the car. the car is cosmetically perfect, so thats a major plus. 2002 with 40k when i bought it, now has 60k

btw the cars cams were misaligned, hence the slight miss in the motor. It was running flawlessly when i put the s/c on it.

You installed a supercharger, bad tune notwithstanding, to a car w/ a motor of questionable health. I don't find it surprising that this project ended badly. Especially since you disregarded the symptoms as well as the recommendations of others w/ experience using this kit. Maybe its just me, but if I was unsure about the condition of my car, I sure as hell wouldn't be racing my dad in his benz and I sure as hell wouldn't be trying to hit triple digits. Impatience, irresponsibility and poor judgement are all to blame here. PES' products are questionable, but in this case the damage was from your negligence and now you want a refund.......yeah right.
