    FMIC with 3 inlets/exits?????

We are in the process of installing a FMIC on a 1.8t 2002 A4 and found that it is different from all the other ones on the site. This one was from EBAY but it has 2 inlets on one side and 1 on the other. It is larger than a typical A4 FMIC as well. It is about the size of a B5 S4 FMIC. Any ideas on if this is the WRONG core? It should have one in and one out only right??

Yes it is the wrong core. Sounds like it is one for a car running twin turbos like the S4.

I thought that twin turbo FMICs had for inlets, two on each side... nevertheless its a wrong core, but maybe you can just plug and extra inlet?

sounds like the wrong core. I am assuming this was a non-name product from e-bay vs buying one of the ones actually designed & tested for the A4 (O.CT, APR, EVo, E-Code, Etc..)?

some do. and some run a setup like the one mentioned above. reason for 1 outlet on the core for biturbo'd cars is to reduce turbulence before the throttle body...

hell, fmic kits for twin turbo supra's are single in, single out. they have a merge collector before the intercooler. S4 guys would most likely do this to if it wasn't for the turbo's being on opposite sides of the engine bay
