    a/c control upgrade?

    hey guys, first-time poster here. i just got my first b5 2 weeks ago and i was wondering if anyone on here knows if it's possible to to upgrade my ac controls from the old one to the newer one. i have a '96. there are some available in ebay so i was just wondering if it would be possible.

    no one knows if the post-facelift climate control can be retrofitted to an older b5?

    it can but you need the whole center console.

    thanks for the reply!

    was thinking of getting a center console off of ebay. any idea why i would need to change the whole console? can't i just make a custom mount on it? but the wiring to make it run is workable? anyone have a DIY?

    sorry for the millions of questions hahaha

    It will plug in and work, but will be lacking illumination, you need to add a wire, search HVAC and it will bring a thread up with all the details you need
