hey guys i have an a4, and i have an s4 badge on the trunk. previous owner did that, pretty pathetic. so i got the badges off, and i still have adhesive material on the trunk: what can i use to remove it without messing up the paint?

    Re: debadged trunks:

Been talked about before but along time ago. Heat, goo gone, elbow grease=safe way. If you still have the silhouette of the badge showing after that you may need to get some like 2000 grit sand paper like I did and then remove it with that and then polish and wax it back up to a shine. Its safe just not as safe as the first method.

    Re: debadged trunks:

    3M adhesive remover is best.

WD40 will work and I have never had it damage my paint but I'm still skeptical of what it does to paint.

x2 to goo gone, you may have to buff/polish it when youre through with that.

    Re: debadged trunks:

I wouldn't take sand paper to my paint, not even 2000 grit. 3M adhesive remover is good stuff and it should buff off with a good polish. You could also try acetone.
