Radio in safe mode, how to reset?

I looked through the owners manual and i didnt see any instructions on how to enter the code. I have the code, i just cant figure out how to put it in. Apparently you need to hold a few buttons simultaneously, i found a write up on here but it says to hold the p. scan and rbds buttons but that doesnt work on the symphony II. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance.

You hold down AS and RDS keys simultaneously till "SAFE" is replaced with "1000" (release keys immediately after 1000 appears). Then use the four leftmost memory keys (along the bottom edge of the display) to change each digit. Then hold down AS and RDS again to get it to accept the code.
