    Hi.I own a audi a4 1.820v,year 2000.I would like to change the gearbox to one from a diesel engine.Do anyone know if it's possible ?What kind of change should i do ?I have also esp on the car.THANKS

    we don't have the diesel engine here in the states so i assume it would be more difficult to find an answer to that. also, i don't exactly know what the point to that would be.....

    i believe any 5 speed/4 cylinder gearbox should work in any 5 speed/4 cylinder car

    so a 5 speed gearbox from a 1.9 diesel should bolt up to your 20v car

    ...he probably wants to change it because of the gearing

    and esp is controlled via the ecm and abs modules. so that shouldnt matter

    a lot of people swap in the 2.8 tranny for fwy flying...
