woosh sound

alright i got a new engine cus of the oil sludge problem for free under warranty, and its been a month or two and when i press the gas all the way down and rev it up and then let go a "woosh" sound happens when i switch gears. it sounds sorta like a diverter valve, but i don't have one? is this mine failing? or maybe did they give me a new one? idk im completely confused

^^ do u have a chip or anything? if not u might have a bad dv or they might have put a 710N cause they did on some years, so i think ur ok, but worth taking a look at!

sounds like your car has a bov or your dv is not plugged properly.

btw, your engine comes with a stock DV.

i have no chip never done any work to the motor. why would they put in a bov?

A bov is not necessitated only by having work done on the engine. Some ppl prefer it to the stock DV.

Take a look at your DV and make everything is plugged in. You said you got a brand new engine maybe the DV is not air tight.

Since ur car is bone stock, i really doubt it's overwhelming your DV...

maybe you never noticed the sound before. considering audi replaced your old engine with a new one the DV is probably much more audible then before.

hmm i never had sounds like that after the intake it makes a a similar bov sound except deeper but get it checked out probably the DV

stock should only give u sound when your spooling, does the sound happen when yo accelerate or when you let off of the gas? I know with intake mine makes a nice Pshhh

ya when they changed your engine they might have put in the Bosch 710N DV at the dealer, i read on here that they did that for some years! but ya check it out!check maybe there's a K & N filter in the box and u didn't even know it!

I'm guessing you have a boost leak.. check the hose near your DV and n75 valve..

i was thinking it was some sorta boostleak i dont get what else it could be

maybe if they put a used engine in (which they did) the engine already had a bov installed. that or you have a boost leak.
