Base map file is written. Should be up and running mid-week to next weekend Final tune late April.

Synapse WG uses no diaphragm, has adj. pre-load. 6 boost settings and flow control.

Synapse BOV is fast acting uses a piston (multi-tiered) that selfsenters un psi. won't leak boost and eliminates compressor surge and flutter dumping.

very nice. I am definately gonna need to do this within a year if the funds allow. BTW, how much does it cost to get a downpipe made to match the new turbo? I know fullrace has a dp to match their manifold....but those together is over $1500.

Mike means because its only oil cooled. Most road racers that use forced induction use oil and water cooled turbos.

If it has a spool of a 28rs then its going to produce a power level like a 28rs, this is how turbos work.


Quicker spool = sooner peak hp.

Smaller a/r = sooner spool but also has a lower flow rate and this is what limits peak hp. If you search about a/r you will find that when you increase the exhaust housing a/r you also get a increase of peak hp.

The last person to try running a very small exhaust a/r GT30 on a A4 1.8t couldn't even hit 300whp.

Indeed and I'll see what happens. I can always switch back to a Water Cooler turbo if problems arise down the line.

I never just shut the car off and am one of those people who drives to cool down for 15 minutes or more.

I don't need late hp or peak hp. I need it early and when exiting the apex and not at 7k rpms in 4th gear.

This will spool up very early, not as early as the 2860rs but pretty damn close in comparison.

We will all just have to wait till mid April to see just what she's capable of. I will have a plethora of logged data by then.

So bassed. After my Synapse bov came in I noticed how stressed it was to have a straight shot of a vac line from the manifold. How are you going to route yours? Also did you find a filter for the bov that is highly recommened? If so where?
