Need to repair and polish window trim?

What would be the best way to get the trim that goes around the window to look new again? When I bought my car it had less then 3k on it but had been sitting for some time at Riverside Audi and the trim was very covered with spots and water marks it's almost seems like acid rain had eaten it's way in to the metal. I've tried wax,polish and mothers mag polish with no luck and the dealer won't do anything about it? Anyone else have this problem, it just looks very dull and spotty. Thanks.

the metal trim? i have a b6 so its a black rubber trim no idea =/

The aluminum trim that looks like chrome that surrounds the side windows.

B6 A4's don't have it, it's black for them I think. I'm following though, I also need to fix mine. Thanks

Get a can of Never Dull Metal Polish.

Not all have black window trim, just some of them IIRC.

Well plenty of people including me have that problem and have tried to fix it. I haven't found anything to remove it fully. But I have noticed that just a god wax helps some.

I would assume that most dealers are unwilling to fix it and would take a class action law suit to get it fixed.

Not all have black window trim, just some of them IIRC.

The 1.8's have the black trim, 3.0's have aluminum

the trim oxidizes and turns white over time. local dealer is replacing mine under warranty.

Thanks guys, sounds like a common problem. I'll pick up a can of never dull this weekend and give that a try. I wish my dealer would work with me on this issue, should I try calling AOA and make a claim?

Same problem. I had the car detailed and it looked great for a few months then came back. Pretty lame.
