Custom display message at start!!

Maybe. I'm pretty sure if you have an RSN-E you can get it to say RS4 on startup though.

You can... the tech at my dealership just went to some class in Chicago and they took them through this as a part of it...

I would imagine that if they can load that, there has to be a way to program a new graphic apart from the "stock" graphics...

I had read it a year ago and doesn't look like much has changed, still no custom splash screens (except on Lambos and TTs which use MMI not RNS-E). On certain SW versions you can get the stock splash screens for RS4, S4, etc though.

I know we are talking about DIS graphics but I would imagine this falls under the same realm. There is, however a project going on to hack the RNS-E which would provide a bunch of cool ish I'm sure. Check out the huge thread at: http://navplus.us/forums/showthread....ghlight=splash

EDIT: As far as editing just the text at the top I can see that as possible especially if A4Pike's mechanic is telling the truth. Since it displays alot of messages up there (CD-TEXT, RDS Data, etc) I would imagine you could customize it.
