    Hi All,

    First time poster here.

I have a 2001 A4 Avant 2.8 that I would like to start doing my own work on. I'm sick of paying labor (just got boned today - 75% of bill was labor).

My question: What's the best shop book out there? I want a book, no CDs. Bentley? Haynes? What are your thoughts?

    Thanks a ton!

    Re: Best Service Manual

bently is very on point. i think the Haynes is hand down the best for the money though. For replacing parts and diagnosis stuff, the haynes is awesome. No need for audi specific tools. and if you need one, it tells you how to make it using tools you have laying around. Its only 12 bucks. It should be the first thing you purchase. I mainly use it for torque specs stuff since i've ripped it all apart already.
