car got freakin towed! (rant.)

so i got pulled over in danvers, MA for rolling through a stop sign(its mass, everyone does.). my license expired last week on my birthday, and ive been working everyday 9-10 hours so i havnt gotten a chance to go renew it. fuckin cop was a dick about it. i told him i was working every day and was planning on going first thing on my next day off. his response was "so you dont have to abide by the law but everyone else does? ive been working two jobs for 20 years and i still make time." anyway, he called a tow truck and my cars fucking sitting in a lot. im going to be SO pissed if my avic-D3 is ripped out when i get it. total this bullshit is going to cost me is $275 minimum. if i cant pick it up tomorow its another $20 per extra day. and i have to renew my license before i can pick it up. supposed to be working an 11 hour day tomorow too. aahhh this sucks!!

yea they did. made sure of that. i specifically asked the tow truck driver "can you make sure its locked?" and he said "yea, we also lock it inside the yard" so first thing im doing when i go to pick it up is trying to open the door. if its unlocked im going to bitch at them, and if my d3 is missing too...theyre deffinatly paying for that too.

oh and another wonderful thing is how the cop was a dick to me, but then his tow truck buddy shows up within about 10 minutes and theyre laughing and joking about how quick the tow was. fuckin cock sucker.

dam that sucks ! Here in Florida all that we do is write you ticket for expired tag (which I rarely do). But you had a good combo going with the expired DL. I usually let people slide as long as they are cool. By all means I would never tow someones car. The ticket that you get is like your pass home.

Danvers cops suck. Lynn cops are even worse - they call for backup no matter what. Your best bet around here is to get pulled over by a Statie NOT on the highway. If you're on 95/93 they just write you a ticket and send you on your way, but in the cities the seem to be pretty lenient.

it sucks, most cops would probably be reasonable about it but he is right in a way, i had a nurse trying to rent a car with an expired DL, she gave the same excuse, i know mine is expiring soon, and ill get it done before, you gotta make time for that stuff.....

Thats funny, because a lot of people think I am a cop when I'm not. I blame the Military for that one though, clean shave, very short hair, decent build. I think it sucks worse when people think you're a cop when you're not, than to think your not a cop when you are.

You're right for the most part. The only cities I wouldn't mind is Revere/East Boston since I know most of the cops or they know my family. Only time I got pulled over was by a statie in Revere and he let me go without even giving me a reason as to why he pulled me over. My guess is tinted out MBZ at 1am with a pretty loud exhaust. He asked me a bunch of random questions, looked at my license and registration, then sent me on my way. I didn't ask any questions. But you are right, the whole surcharge for a sticker is BS.

Situation sucks I had my own recent issues with cops (CHP.)

I was pulling out of the lake on memorial day with my big boat. Going a little quick but still following a 5th wheel fed-ex truck. Was on I-5 (70mph speed limit) and was doing about 64-67 (trailers are limited to 55) when i got nailed.

$819 for going 10 mph over the speed limit....



Moral of the story: %60 of cops are okay and doing what they "should" do %20 are great and do what they can to help the community they serve *help the stranded motorist, let the poor college student go with a warning* and %20 have a god complex and would give there own mothers tickets.... the bad %20 seem a lot bigger portion because they write most of the tickets...

I have a feeling 7speed is apart of the good %20.

Guys dont ask him for diabolical advice in an open forum, only the legal kind. you could not believe how much can be stirred by one of us asking him for advice then that "help full" information being printed out and that info eventually harming him. Trust me I work in politics.

no lawyers, its a civil ticket...no criminal charges. my dads friend is a state trooper and said bring it to court and it will most likely get tossed. but i probably wont get my $125 back that i had to pay to get my car out of impound! better than $275 and 2 points though.
