I installed a turboxs hpmbc and only got seven psi. pulled over tried to change it and it was about 5 psi. i thought i was running off the wastegate so i flipped it and got the same result. what gives??

Are you running a boost controller as opposed to getting a chip?

    Re: MBC problems

the mbc should go between your wg and boost/vac line off the turbo. Some run it off the vac line at the intake but you'll get a slower response. Not sure if the factory controller needs to be connected still for monitoring/metering purposes, someone else will have to chime in on that one.

On the HPmbc, it should have two adjustments, a high, and a low setting. Adjust the high setting first to get you near the boost you're looking for, then use the low to dial it in presicely (the high setting will adjust from wg spring pressure onward, the low setting can only adjust within a window of +/- 1-2 psi of the high setting)

    Re: MBC problems

Can someone please clarify more about how to run it without the N75, which is in fact plugged into the TIP with the electrical connection. I origanally had the bottom nip connected to the brass colored ball shaped item which is what i believe is the wasgate. and the other line on the pressure, side nip. Got only 5psi, then switched the two and have the same result. I dont think i hit limp cause i never boosted over stock pressure. Any ideas?

I am running a boost controller to up the boost a few psi, staying under 14. Apparently a mbc can give faster spool and hold boost a little longer and better than a N75 so i thought why not. It did solve a first gear surging issue do its not all bad.

    Re: MBC problems

sounds like you're in limp mode, probably from an overboost error.

take off the MBC until you go BT
