Is it a difference in spring or shocks as well?

Im considering going from non sport to sport because I only want a little drop but suspension has not ever been a big issue for me so Im looking for a cheap option

yea, the springs and shocks are different. sport springs are clearly lower, and i would assume have a different spring rate. and the shocks are probably enginiered to work the lower ride. try to find sport suspension off a 2002 sport package, looks great IMO. if you want to see what it looks like check out my cardomain link in my sig to my old car.

I might be selling my 02 sport suspension when i get my coils on. I have yet to decide though. I like keeping my stock parts around.

Yeah my brother has an 02.

Dam I was hoping that I could keep the ride of my shocks but use the sport springs.

Ok different question now... Is b6 platform all the same or is 02 specifically different?

I've heard that sport suspension B6/B7 might be the same. Can tell me if it's true or not. Thanks

Re: Difference between sport and non sport suspension

The sport suspension on my '02 is great. I don't think its too stiff at all. Any stiffer, the roads here in Minnesota would be like a roller coaster. For those that don't know, the '02 sport suspension is special in that it was the lowest suspension made for the A4.

Re: Difference between sport and non sport suspension

to quote an answer i got a long time ago when i asked this question:
(sport suspension) "Sway bars are bigger, it has the strut tower brace (hard to see it though, it's not one that goes up and over the engine like on VW's), stiffer/lower springs, and beefier shocks/struts. All control arms, tie rods, bushings, etc, are the same as a stock B6."

    For Sale:
Stock suspension, slightly damaged stock painted lower front

Re: Difference between sport and non sport suspension

Also came with 17" 5 spoke wheels and special Dunlop SP9090 tires (if your quattro)
oops, just realized you asked the diff. between the suspensions, not the overall car...
