I'm undergoing a military transfer to 32nd St. Naval Station and would like to know of any heavily pot-holed areas in downtown.

I'm not very familiar with San Diego and would appreciate it much if info on where, cross-streets, freeways, etc, would be good to avoid.

I have the same (pot-hole avoidance, hehe) system here in Los Angeles and if anyone wants the same info, I'd be glad to help.

If you get off the 5 South and go straight into base you'll be fine. The danger is the long street that runs parallel with the whole base, harbor drive me thinks, is the DEVIL'S ASSHOLE!!! Avoid at all costs, it is 99% possible you will crack your shit or blow out. It is uneven as shit, has a crap load of old ass train tracks and potholes out the ass and is uneven with crazy dips everywhere. Trust me. I'm in the military too and go to 32nd street all the time.

    Re: Attn: San Diego AZers

Lived in downtown SD for nearly ten years. ALL the roads up, down, and sideways are pretty bad throughout downtown. Trolley and train tracks crossing Front through 11th. 6th from Balboa to south is horrible. Market St from Harbor up to 10th or so is ok but after that forget about it. And Harbor Dr. from the 8th St. Naval Base entrance to Downtown is called the "Rim Killer" for good reason. 4th and 5th from Harbor to Broadway is a good weekend cruise but other than that stay away from everything else.
