Are the turbos made by Garrett for specific engines or are just for general application. I have a friend who is thinking about selling his GT28r from his Nissan but didnt know if the fitment would be different.

    Re: Garrett Turbo question

you would have to get a manifold with a T25 flange, and perhaps do some custom fab work because the turbo will sit diff. Its not a bolt on.

    Re: Garrett Turbo question

most garrett turbos come in a couple of standard applications (different flanges) depending on the turbo. to make them hook up to your cars you will need an exhaust manifold for sure (many wont fit in the stock location regardless....hence the ATP housings for garrett turbos) as well as some exhaust modification. garretts can for the most part be clocked to adjust outlet locations as well...to a certain degree.

to answer your q, they are pretty standard across the board...

His flange is different yes but your manifold can be changed to match the flange on the turbo he has
