cd player from b6?

Is it possible to use a headunit from a b6 or even an a6 with the 6 cd changer in dash in our cars? I know the faceplate may not line up correctly, but does all the wiring? Thanks,

I say sure why not? People put the RNS-E's in B5's all the time...so why wouldn't anyother B6 headunit work?

I think I'm going to be the guinea pig on this one guys. I think it will offer a nice little upgrade thats cheaper than navigation. Will a c5 a6 one fit easier than a b6 a4? I know the c5 rns-d is a pretty perfect fit.

Bingo.

If you want it to be anywhere near flush or clean it will be a lot of fab for the faceplate. Everything "behind" the faceplate is exactly the same in terms of size and connections.
