    Probably a combination of both.

I've installed them on VW R32's, but not yet on an A4.
The R32 has a belly pan that you can sandwich the splitter in.
    A4 doesn't have this.

Unless you want to take off the bumper just use self tapping screw about 1/4 inch, maybe some black adhesive/caulk/silicone whatever too. Also trim/sand along the top of the lip to allow a flush mounting to the bumper. You can use some painters tape on both the bumper and lip for purposes of centering, install the screws closest to the center first with whatever amount of lip protruding you prefer, try not to allow the top of the lip to show. Then work your way out one screw at a time, alternating sides ie;Don't screw in one side at a time. Play with the edge placement until your satisfied then put in the last screws. You may then go around and loosen the screws just a bit and use that black adhesive/silicone sparingly then re-tighten the screws. Oh, ya also trimming the vertical pieces in the center so the lip dos not deflect. If the center part sags then use a longer screw (2.5 inch or so) and screw through the bottom of the lip in between the two sides of the vertical pieces (up and through) into the bottom of the bumper, this will cure the sagging. Cross your fingers (not while working) and good luck.

Re: cupra R splitter install on b7 sline

After Elusive's pics of his splitter, it really convinced me to get one. But adding the splitter leaves me a very little gap from the floor. I dont know if driving with a splitter on in NYC roads will be a smart idea.

Re: cupra R splitter install on b7 sline

It's not really that difficult guys. It's very worth it in the end. Having 2-3 ppl helping you helps alot. For the center part, if it sags you can add a washer under it to hold it up even tighter.. good luck !

Really its not that bad guys I put mine in ten minutes. If you pressed for time just use screws, and trim the center pieces. If it sags later than worry about it then, don't even bother sanding or cutting it may not be as perfect as these examples but 99% will not even notice, just screw it.

I'm already seeing a flame coming up about this question but, I have no idea as to what you guys are referring to in the underlined statement above. Trim what pieces? This means if I want a lip I have to cut the bumper? I cant just screw it in and be done with it? Also, I have a non-S-line bumper cause I "thpethial" cause my momma said so.

    no, dont trim the bumper.

trim the mounting tabs in the center of the lip (on top).

I placed them at every tab there is on the splitter. I used black self-tapping 3/4" screws with intergrated washers at home depot. For the middle part of the splitter I used 1 1/4" instead of 3/4" with a spacer to hold it up in place.
