    torsen did not change the differential based on what market you are in.
    they are 50/50 going in a straight line. as soon as one wheel starts to spin faster than the others the differential has the ability to transfer the power all the way up to a split of 33/66.
    we can go back and forth all day but those are the facts. it is well documented.

    Fact is that torsen can be 0/100 on either end, power going to the end with the least resistance. Exactly why our cars don't move at all when an axle or CV snaps. lol

    Question

    1. I can not see the images in the thread, why ?

    2. My B5 Quattro is made in September 1999 and have a 5-speed manual gearbox.
    How do I know if the above mod can be done on my B5 ?

    3. I never drive my car at the track but I drive on snow 7-8 months a year,
    so I would like to have just a little bit more distribution to the rear wheels
    Is it possible to have 40% front and 60% at the rear ?

    // Regards from Sweden.

    1. probably because the thread is 3.5yrs old and the pictures arent hosted anymore.
    2. you can do this mod to any 01a or 01e center diff.
    3. you have more than that already to the rear wheels stock. up to 66% can go to the rear.
    contact via email please.

    seeing that this is from 2008 the photos / diy need an update. this can only be done on 99+ trans right. I now have a 96 trans in my car. if thats true ill have to wait. sweet mod anyway.

    Oh poo. I have a '91 trans. I guess my plan will be source these washers. Then a torsen diff to put them in. Then washer mod said torsen diff. Then install in my A4 - hopefully at some point before it completely falls apart at 350k miles. lol
