I've seen a couple more Audis in the past couple of days. Earlier today I saw a white B7 A4 in front of me down off of Peter's Creek. Than when I was leaving work I saw a silver B6 either S4 or A4 with black door blades and black wheels. Looked nice.

Anyone know of a good place in the Triad area where we could get possibly a weekly or monthly meet together? As much as I don't miss my former car club, I do at times miss the comraderie of just hanging out and shooting the shit.

If there was a decent place in Kernersville it'd be central for just about everone in the Triad, naturally. If that doesn't work, there's a Buffalo Wild Wings off 68 down near the Wendover intersection that's big enough inside and has a huge parking lot. I'm going through K'ville today on my way to W-S so I may try to scope out a few places off 66 or S. Main.

I was thinking about K-Vegas, too. I'm not sure where we could go out there. Scope it out, and let us know what you find. There's a BWW in Winston, too. Of course, there's always Hooter's, too.

I never made it to Winston today (thank you fax and mail) but I did show about 8 houses in Kernersville and Stokesdale today and I can't believe I completely forgot about the new(ish) Ham's right off the Bus.40/66 exit (1st Kernersville exit if coming from GSO, 2nd if coming from W/S on Bus. 40. Way back when we had an nceuro meet in Greensboro at the big Ham's on High Point Road, and they were very accommodating. I didn't get a good look at the place today but it's obviously there and there are very few spots like that in K'ville that I can think of.

If I get a chance I'll try to get over there tomorrow.

    Re: NC owners check in...

Cool. I bought my UrS4 in San Diego in Nov 06 and drove it to Greensboro. What a blast. I didn't get to spend much time in SD but it looked great flying in. I was on my way back to NC within 90 minutes. Stopped at WalMart in LaMesa for some supplies, drove to Flagstaff AZ the same day I flew in to SD, spent the night there and got up the next morning and drove straight to Greensboro, in 31 hours, with a 45 min nap waiting for a McD's to open just north of Memphis.

    What a blast.

    Re: NC owners check in...

The Hams looks like it would accommodate us with enough parking and the building is big enough. I didn't go in because it was lunch rush and I was late for an appointment on top of that. I did stop in to a place called Indigo Joe's Sports Bar and restaurant which is on S. Main Street in Kville, just off Bus. 40 in the Target shopping center, and they were very nice and had no problem with us coming. I (optimistically?) told them it might be 10 or 12 people.....and they said just let them know ahead of time. My guess is we'd know at least a week beforehand....

    Thoughts?

If we're going to do this regularly, we can easily rotate around and do both...

    Re: NC owners check in...

Switching might be a good idea, but I heard Indigo Joe's isn't all that good. But hey, I haven't tried it so I don't know. We should schedule a meet for sometime after the 4, I know most people will be busy around that time. I'd be willing to go to either place. Anyone else, feel free to chime in here with suggestions...

After the 4th is fine. The NCEuro meet in Cary is the 8th. Not sure I'm going to that one, so any day is fine with me. I say we meet in Kernersville this go-round and then rotate between W-S, GSO and K'ville too. K'ville is just limited for places to meet, park, and eat, drink, whatever, but it's somewhat central for the Triad peeps. It's still a good 30 minutes from me. I live in NE Guilford Co between Browns Summit and Summerfield.

I would think not they hace auto crosses there a few times and id imagine that as long as you were cool about not littering and doing extendid whole shots you would be fine.

All right, so definitely after the 4th, we're all agreed on that. We need to decide on an initial place and time, and then we can discuss further meetings from there. I think rotating between Winston and Greensboro is only fair, to those on both sides, and I have no problem with it myself.

Do we want to do it on a weekend or weekday? What's best for everyone?

I prefer a weekday evening. Tuesday or Wednesday.

Hey Guys, i was in NC 2 weekends a go and decided to go to that UNCC meet ontop of the deck. I went around 11ish and there were about 50 cars there...I just drove around the top and left. I was the only euro up there!! Mostly all american cars and i saw one jetta and one old school red porsche. Maybe I have to show up later for other euros. Next time i come down to NC, I'll try going again.

I think perhaps a quartely or yearly meeting somewhere outside of the Triad area might be do-able. Gas prices suck the big one right now, but we can't expect everyone to drive here.

So now that the 4th is over, where do we stand with this? We need to set things in motion and alert the folks wherever we're going.

Bravo on the drive from Denver. My only regret is the part of the country I went through overnight. Not that I think I missed a whole lot being that it was Oklahoma, Arkansas and western Tennessee. I would have liked to have seen Memphis in the daylight though. Both times I've crossed the Mississippi it's been in the middle of the night.....hmmmm.

If the drive from Fayetteville is too far you might consider the monthly nceuro.org meets in the Triangle. You and I might be the only Audis there depending on the month but it's better than nothing. The next meet is Tuesday in Cary. Check the nceuro.org forums meets/events section for more info.

Post some pics of teh S4.

I think we should try to do something either this coming week or the next. It may be too late to do something this week and some folks are still going to be out of town, so what about early the following week?

Works for me. The general concensus seems to be a week day, sometime midweek, from Tuesday to Thursday, which makes sense. So I say...Wednesday to break up the week. Do we want K-Vegas, Winston or Greensboro?

if you're ever planning to come to raleigh/cary/apex/durham for any meets or other car related stuff lmk. There's plenty of euros in the area, and almost always SOMETHING going on.

    Re: NC owners check in...

p.s. - i created a "social group" for NC owners so that we have our own little area on the forums. if you click your name on the left side of hte screen and look at your profile, it should be the bottom most box on the right that says "social groups" and then you join there... atleast i think that's how it works.

i figured it was a little more organized than having to keep bumping this thread and hoping people see it in the SE forum lol

.....^ that's pretty close, it's the second-to-bottom box on the right and it has "join social groups" on the bottom of that box.

then you have to find the NC Audis group on the page that pops up and follow that link to join.

    do work!

    Re: NC owners check in...

we settle on wednesday night? if so now we need a consensus on Greensboro or W-S. letabrothaknow. i like the idea of switching it back and forth palce to place. so W-S at a resturaunt maybe, and the circuit city/target parking lot on wendover ave it has a GREAT pizza joint there and some of my buddies get together for a LS1/LS2 motor meet on thursdays so its cool.
Just keeping up with the rest of them...
