Umm, that's way more than a tad. I personally wouldn't run them. I bet the rears are borderline with significant rubbing. What offsets are the wheels?

it's just the fronts that are too much (and I think the angle of the photo exaggerated it). The rears don't really poke much. I rubbed on dips last night before removing the 12 o'clock fender liner screw and since then I haven't rubbed yet. Honestly if I ran smaller tires like pretty much everyone else on here then I don't think I would have an issue. TONS of people run OEM RS4 wheels that are 19x9 et29. These are 19x9 et33 so I would think they should be almost exactly the same. If I had a 235 or 245 tire on there I think they would be pretty much dead flush with the back maybe needing a 3-5mm spacer if you cared about having them match (I don't). I was on the edge about the tire size before and whether it was too big. 255 was kinda ideal for me since that's the stock size and I'd prefer more meat to the tire. I'm still in the air on them, but my thoughts were the problem is more the tire size vs. wheel size.

I just mounted my old Fat 5's with 255/45/17's on my S4 Avant and took it for a 10 mile test drive no indication of rubbing.

Hey Fulham, Cheers. I considered that but I’m painting the blades when I sort out the hood to colour match the car. Found a CF Cupra Lip, which will go on.
If I don’t like the colour, I can always get the blades from Eurogear later.
Kinda walking a thin line with trying to keep it looking modded without going over the top.

Damn, you were lucky! Did the seat come out with you? My sphincter pucker factor would have been off the chart!
Is that dark streak under the rear door a slide mark??

Getting out of the car afterwards would have been pretty hairy once you saw how close you are to rolling over. Brettannica : weren't you meant to paint the bonnet? :)

They didn't even ask me for permission, but my black beauty ended up in this photo. Pretty good looking photo though, and they even blocked my plate out......on another note, The Shaved Duck is amazing, so if you are ever in the area, you need to eat there.

Yes that is a PES SC in the valley. This was dropped out of a C5 S6 Avant to get the long-tube headers massaged for frame clearance.

Thanks! Here's a brief list of the mods - the previous owner moved to Dubai and his parents were selling the car. I got a brief rundown of everything he did to it, but I'm sure I'm missing a lot here:

    Wheels / suspension:
    - VMR 19x10 in the rear, 19x9 in the front, all wrapped in Continental 245/35/19
    - Coilover suspension (I believe he said it was the KW V3)
    - Some kind of rear linkage (camber bars?) to push the bottom out and make sure the rear tires move inside the fenders
    - Custom spacers (not sure sizes)

    Body
    - APR Racing carbon front splitter
    - Custom carbon side skirts
    - Custom vinyl wrap on the hood and roof

    Engine / Exhaust
    - Full RS4 exhaust
    - Carbon air intake
    - GIAC software
    - Previous owner said that was good for ~390 crank hp on pump gas. It also has options for stock, race, and valet modes.

    Interior
    - Custom Alpine stereo / equalizer setup
    - 1000W amplifier and sub built into custom S4 silver box (I don't really have an interest in this, feel free to PM me if you want it)

Best part is, the car has been dealer-maintained its whole life. The PO had a buddy who worked for Audi / Lamborghini and would always take it to him. The smog test shows how well it's been cared for, absolutely the lowest emissions possible on the test. I'm planning to put some slightly smaller wheels on it (some that actually fit inside the fenders) and raise it up a bit so I don't pull the splitter off next time I come across a speed bump.

Nice looking car. What’s the story with your lower intakes and the LEDs? They look quite smart.
