Techron Chevron? That's their 93 oct gas right? Or is that some fuel additive/injector cleaner?

All I know, is that i've been running V-Power from Shell since they got it. Noticble difference in gas milage.

Chevron Techron is a great fuel system cleaner for cars that need frequent cleanings. You can use it every 3-5K miles to keep you intake valves and injectors a little less cruddy. I've used it on every car I've owned but, it's hard to remember to do it every time you do the oil. Otherwise, yes, it's a great product.

BG 44K is a far more powerful product. It is more of a heavy cleaner for cars that are suspected of having heavy deposits in their fuel system and alot of carbon buildup on the piston tops. This product (much like all BG products) is well designed and will make a noticable difference on cars that are running rough or are suffering from poor mileage.

You will have to buy it online from a web based retailer. You could find a local shop that has it but, expect to be ripped off. The last time I called a local shop for BG Syncroshift, they quoted me $21.25 per quart!!!!! They were my local BG distributor!!

Search the web for it and you'll find a reasonable price.

so would it be fair to say that if you've neglected to use fuel injector cleaner for a while, use the BG44K, but if you've used it already and are just looking for a routine maintenance type deal, go with the Techron?

Either will be better than nothing to help clean your fuel system. Some people also use Seafoam. Just remember you'll want to change your oil shortly after using the tankful of the cleaner. So if possible wait until under 500miles to oil change, sicne both BG44K and Techron will dilute the you oil's properties some what.
