Brake Engine Light

Why the F#$% is the brake light beeping and flashing every 10 min? Don't have time to take it to the dealership for a while. Anyone else ever have this problem? If so what was wrong?

Is it only when you press your brakes? The light should only come on when you attempt to hit the brakes, otherwise there is another issue.

Maybe you are running out of brake pads.
or the sensor is grong.

Do you have a brake light out? In my B5 that was the culprit. But the light worked half the time, and then not. Got a new LED and all was good again.

When i'm driving down the highway the parking brake light will flash red and beep. I will check the brake light though that's a good idea, thanks!

I have had the same problem, dealer has looked into it three times. They tell me they are getting no fault codes and the pads, fluid and brake system look good. its a PITA!

so did it go away or does the light keep flashing and beeping?

Probably the brake fluid level is too low. It happens when your brake pads are about to end. Either add some fluid or replace the pads.

I called the dealer and he said its the brake fluid and to come down and they will refill in a couple of min.
