when im park, from my rear driver side wheel, there is a squeeking sound, its like its pulsing. it gets faster and faster itll it goes away. anybody know what it means?

when your parked you hear a squeeking sound? And this squeeking is pulsating faster and faster while your car is not moving and then the sound goes away? Sounds odd and i have never heard of that before.

Is this everytime, or just after hard driving? Perhaps you've got the e-brake on and the rotor is cooling (contracting) with the brake pad held against it?

I know what you mean. I've got 5000 miles/4 months left on my warranty, and they are starting to appear....

The only "moving" item in the rear of the car when it is parked would be the fuel pump. Perhaps the pump's motor is starting to stick. Have you noticed any power loss when you start moving?

How full is your gas tank when this happens? Apparntly when fuel is low, the Quattro gas tank actually has a squirting device that shoots gas from one side of the tank to another, over a hump. This does not to the Frontrack because that tank does not need to avoid drivshafts.

My S4 makes all sorts of noises after I've stopped it. It sounds like there's a mini-robot busy at work under the trunk. Well, duh, it's not a robot, but it's like the fuel pump is still turning on and off. It doesn't always make a noise....maybe it's just when my tank is low, as RedRocket says, squirting gas from one side of the tank to the other.

I've noticed my fuel pump makes unusual buzzing noises (while the engine is running) after I've tracked the car, or when the fuel is low, or I'm at high altitude (>9000 feet). Then 5 minutes later, it stops. I don't know if that means the pump is starting to stick, but I've also heard the same buzzing on another S4 (B5).

Up front, all sorts of fans and pumps are doing things after I've stopped the engine (after a minute or so of cooldown of course). People who don't know any better think I've left the car running, and like to tell me
