New-ish A4 spy shots

Caught these over on TheCarConnection.com. The images, as the article says, have been edited with photo software, so we'll see something a little different when it's officially released. They say there's rear-end changes, too, but nothing TOO drastic I hope. Anyway, enough talking:

See I believe that it will change quite alot and be the B7 A4. I think they will do this so that they will be on the same page as BMW with new models coming out. And I like the new style front but I think that they should reserve that big mouth grille for like the 'S' or 'RS' cars cause a stock A4 with like 15s or 16s would look odd with that over powering grille.

does Audi even offer 15" rims on any cars...?

i thought 16"s were as small as they came, and who on here would buy one without at least the Sport package with 17"s...?

this will hardly be the B7... it's just a refresher of the current car...

don't expect the totally new A4 until the 2008 model year...

Eh, doesn't look good. Audi is taken a step back with that design...

However, I was looking at a 2005 A4 at my dealership, looked like an Ulta Sport package. It was effing' nice. I mean, seriously. It was one of the nicest thing's i've ever seen.

Took couple snaps, sorry for the bad quality, I need to invest in a digicam...

Are all the 05's back like this? It's so flat. I like it alot.

It's the way the pic was taken. It doesn't come off that blue in person. I also thought it was shisty lookin'. But yeah, thats brand new from Audi. All dealer stuff on it. Still had the plastic covering the seats....

That's exactly why I said new-ish, haha! I knew there'd been pics floating around for a while...

Anyway, whether or not it'll be a b6.5 or b7 remains to be seen, but I'd heard, too, that Audi plans to do some major revamping soon so as to go at it head-to-head with the upcoming (bangle-ized) 3-series. I really don't think the coming A4 will look EXACTLY like those pics, like with the weird headlights and stuff, but I do look forward to seeing the new grille.

Oh, and I agree with whomever it was who said that the big grille without a sporty look overall is weird. The grille would totally overpower it.

if you mean BMW... i dont really like what they're doing to that car either...

i really like the current gen 3 and 7 series...

the 5 series however i really dont like...

i think what is throwing the looks off on those pics is the beltline was been lowered quite a bit...

now it just looks too tall...

i have a hard time thinking they would do that as a facelift... the high beltline is part of the reason this car looks so damn good...

Have you heard anything else about the supossed new "2.0T" motor as well? Not sure if they will still be using the POS K03, but the car will be making a lot more power than the 1.8T's. That will really "ROCK".

All I've heard about the 2.0T motors is that they'll have direct-port injection aka FSI and 4 valves per cylinder. What kind of turbocharger they'll be using I have no clue, but I'd guess it's probably still a K03. Volkswagen/AUDI tends to stick with KKK products so far as turbos go...
