    if i get a 1.8T What can i do to the engine? and how much would it cost?

    also for the 2.8 what can be done, and what is the cost?

    looking at 2001.

    Umm.. I thought only 1.8T and 3.0 were available inn N.A.

    Either way, not much to the 6 banger, but a bit to the 4 banger depending on how much you wanna spend...

    GT28RS = $5k or so... but you get 300whp.

    that's quite a broad question...I would suggest you go to this post and check out the tuner sites to see what parts are available for each engine. There is a much larger aftermarket for the 1.8t. Most people start out with a chip and exhaust and then work their way up from there. Check the sites in that post and it will give you a sense of the prices to expect.
