Kilborn to call it quits

LOS ANGELES - Craig Kilborn has decided to quit CBS' "Late Late Show" after five seasons, leaving the network to find a new host for the hour that follows "Late Show with David Letterman."

"It was easily the greatest job I've had, and CBS was very generous in their offer to re-sign me," Kilborn told Daily Variety. "But I simply want to try something new. I can now focus on writing and producing different television projects I haven't had time for."

Haha, cant blame the guy. I probably seen it twice, not that much exciting. But its the smallest budget late night talk show ever, Moreso than the Carson Daily show. No band, no announcer (and short clips of the audience) looks like it only seats about 100 poeple. I bet he got mad when Jimmy Kimmel show came around and Jimmy got more things than he did (a band at least)

I thought he was good at what he did. Very personable with the guests. And he usually always brought the goods (IE: hot girls)!

dont know about you guys, but ive always been a big sportscenter fan and craig definately knew how to deliver the goods with his catch phrases and damn good sportscasting on espn....late late show wasnt as good....but he did pioneer the daily show and definately rocked on sportscenter along with dan patrick and keith olbermann.

i love the late late show. YOU GUYS ALL SUCK. his humor is wry. you guys all want slapstick comedy. that is not craig kilborn. he is witty. WITTY I TELL YOU.

In other words he is an asshole and yes we all love assholes. He is definately not funny. He was a good sportscaster but definately not a good entertainment/talkshow host. He did pioneer the Daily Show but it is Jon Stewart that made it big because of his character and personality, not Craig. What I am trying to say is that Craig is boring. He tries to be funny but he is not. Just my opinion.

jon stewart is one of the funniest human beings around....the daily show has great writers....but stewarts delivery and his interviews are so damn good.

yeah the daily show is easily one of the best shows on TV. best writing, john stewart is awsum.. etc etc.

ever since kilbourne left the daily show he has been crap. Honestly, the shot where the guy's head get's crushed was so classic. Sports center was always good with him. Anyway, im' done tonight. peace az
