People with 19s need your help.

Put on the 19s last night and I was driving on the freeway this morning and I felt more vibration in my steering. Is that normal? I came up from 16s so it's quite a big jump so I don't have anything close to compare with. There is not much vibration around 60mph on a smooth surface road but I do start to feel it when I get around 100mph. However, this is not a fair comparison because for the most part I wasn't on a smooth surface when I was going at 100mph. I don't know but I might need balancing? I am not sure but please chime in.

Sounds like your balancing if off.

make sure the lugs are torqued to the correct specs, and that you have the hubcentric rings installed if the wheels are not hubcentric as well...

How can you tell if the wheel is hubcentric or not becuase mine didn't come with hubrings.

it has the exact size center hole that it will fit on the hub without moving up and down...

    if that made any sense...

when you place it on the car you don't have to fuss with it up and down to get the lug bolts to line up...

    from Tireracks website...

Check the fit of the wheel onto the hub of the vehicle. (Some wheel applications may require the use of a centering ring to create the proper fit onto the hub.) The bolt circle of the wheel must match that of your vehicle and the wheel must make full contact to the mating surface of the hub. If the wheel does not match up to the bolt circle of the vehicle, or the wheel does not have full contact to the mounting surface, please contact your sales representative or our customer service department at 888-541-1777, ext. 360.

For the rears I just slap them on with no fuss, it was the front that I needed to fuss with a bit which was quite strange to me. But for the most part, I didn't need to move it up or down to align it to the holes.

well, you can measure the center bore of your stock wheels, and measure the center bore of your new wheels, and see if they match. If not, you need hubcentric rings.

I jumped up from 15s to 19s. The ride actually improved quite a bit on the freeway. I kinda had the opposite problem you have. At high speeds my 15s would vibrate a little and with 19s its smooth all the way up till the govenor kicks in

LOL, damn it I need to make a run into the 3 digits tonight to test it out a bit. I don't think it's the hubcentric rings... maybe balancing.

The wheels will either need rings or they won't....the front axle doesn't need rings compared to the rear axle, there's no difference in bore size between the two. Otherwise your stock wheels would have hub rings stuck to the inside of the fronts.

You'll pick up a little more vibration because you're now feeling every little bit of the road, especially if you've got lots of tire pressure.

I had to have my wheels balanced 4 times before I found somebody who had a road force balancer. Only then did it smooth out.

The person I bought it from said he didn't run rings so hence I didn't. Strange.
