Just wondering how a chipped A4 with exhaust would fare against an S4? Anyone ever raced their friend's S4?

you would die a horrible death unless the S4 didnt know how to drive. He will still have almost 40 hp on you.

you will be fine just make sure you bring the lube or it might hurt a little

would that S4 be chipped with exhaust as well?

The only way you would be taking out one of those is if during the race both of the S4s turbos went.

I raced an X chipped S4 with my car and was a foot ahead of him till a bit through 2nd gear where he raped me. Long terms race won't happen.

ive read a k04 kit with the right tuning can pull on an s4 up until 60-70mph, then its over

Depends on if the S4 is chipped or stock.

an S4 also has close to double the displacement and 2 turbos.

It's alot about driver skill also...the A4 with a perfect launch could stay infront through first and second, but once past that... theres no way...

There is a video out there, Stage 3 A4 vs. Chipped S4 i think. The A4 gets a killer launch, then the s4 eats him.

^^^^^^^^^^^^same here, stock with ams stage 2, they arent that great,,, unless the guy didnt know how to drive. i shouls have filled my winshield washer fluid with lube, got in front of him while driving and sprayed him. he had it cumming.

Even with a Stg3 car, FMIC, etc...you might want to think twice.

S4's have far more torque, better gearing, etc. It does offset the weight difference.

I have seen S3 cars pull on chipped S4's actually.... when you get into the bigger turbos the tq climbs really fast, and the increased power from an S3 (or more) can actually work better with the long gears (due to the car holding boost longer), weight diff really becomes an issue for the S4....

I'm us about sure MKGIY's car would pull a S4 easily. The T28 he was running would do it, his new kit would easily do it.

Im talking about the 260hp Type-S to be exact.

I'm sure it would be close.. but if you are talking distance driving... the S4 would just pass over 100+

I've driven the new TL (270HP), Type-s is gone now. The TL isn't really great out of the hole but, it's mid-range power is pretty shocking for the boat that it is. I'd say that a new TL would ass-whoop most chipped A4s in a heartbeat.

Try the 3.2 CL or a TSX, then you'll have a chance.
