Hey, who's done the double fog light mod?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm talking about the rear. It's a must for our cars. I actually use the double fog to lose poeple in traffic at night. It changes the tail light pattern. And you can bluff your breaks when somone's on your ass. Plus, if your tails don't match, it gives the cops another reason to pull you over.

    Need I say more?

The mod is easy too, takes like 3 seconds, kinda like the front parking lights

I don't know I am just not into that mod. The single rear fog severs a purpous when used correctly, (for marking your cars behind visible in the fog) I think a single light stands out more,, everyone notices it because they think you have one out. As far as bluffing the ones behind you,, its odd but I never have anyone tailgate me. Drive faster. And cops pulling you over because of the stock lighting setup, I doubt it, however they could write you a ticket for the dual rear fog if they wanted to.

That is just dum,, one of these days someone will drag you out of the car for that, I know I feel like it when someone brake checks me. Hey either get over and get out of the way or go faster. When someone is tailgating me and there is traffic ahead and I can't go faster,, I let off the gas and let the engine slow it down. No brake lights, it wakes them up real quick when all the sudden they are getting closer. HAHA

I did this mod; drilled out the other bulb hole (nice ring to that) and had the new bulb in hand when i realized my 98.5 wasn't prewired. SO...unless I order a part from some catalog...it ain't happenin'.
Though, I too like the single light the more I think about it. I wish we had the option to switch it to either side or both.

I've got dual LED's in the rear. I made them so they are not blindingly bright and use them as running lights to go with the stock ones.

my 98.5 tail lights came like this....it works great in conjunction with the windshield washer fluid move.....i do understand their functionality though...but here in the u.s. the majority of people dont even know what a rear fog light is...in europe they are used on a regular basis...i dont even know if anyone would know what it was in fog around here....boston drivers...(minus people in audis) dont know how to drive

The 98.5 is pre-wired but, the metal tab that touches the side of the bulb isn't there. You just need a little strip of thin metal to wedge in there and the bulb will work. That's what I needed for mine.

Tailgated at 80, well either get over or get an S4. I'm just jacking you, I know there are azzes out there and they will do that. I like you wish I had a scrolling sign too. Or a stack of premade signs normal writing on front and reverse on back.

I wired them up, both audis.
I also like using them for if I'm pulled over on the highway, or on a road at night.. little more lighting for people to be able to see that you're there and stopped.

I drilled three small holes in that housing and put in single led bulbs on my sedan. wired them to run with my city lights, so I could pick which set of lighting I wanted to run at dusk or when parked, and still be (somewhat) legal (minus the plate light)
    - Without an Audi for now...
plenty of fast toys to make up for it though
