This was pretty much a shock to me. Some people told me his "alternate lifestyle" had been rumored for awhile, but i never heard any of those stories.

It's kind of a messed up situation. I wouldn't want to be in the position of his wife, ex-wife or kids. I guess it always pays to be honest with yourself and who you are. I can imagine living a lie is a tough thing to do, especially for some one in the public eye.

it's a shame he's resigning, woulda been quite a statement if he'd come out and been like "yeah i'm gay, and yesi had an affair, and wut this guys is saying in the pending lawsuit is BS. so i'm gonna stay in office as the first publicly gay governor, do a damn good job like i've been doing and fight this till the end." it just sorta sux that the stereotypes+lawsuit force him to resign

I have a feeling that soemthing bigger is going down. Being gay doesn't seem like a reason to resign. I think in a few months NJ is going to be like where did that 500 million in the DMV go oh dammit the gay thing was a trick he got the money in offshore accounts. Just an example.
