have you seen a 2.8 with 500+ hp?..

..... stay tuned , when i was at GIAC i got a chance to talk to the Del Rio Power guys from Mexico, owners of the Del Rio 460whp 1.8T TT ... we exchanged numbers that's all.

the guy told me that they just finished tuning a 2.8 and it pulled 500 hp... how impressive.

Was this a 12v or 30v i am assuming 30v. What did they do for the engine management. I want more info, what can u find out?

that's right!, me too ... i haven't seen it, but i know those Del Rio guys gots some serious stuff and seeing their TT pulled so much power, i was impressed so as other peeps at the challenge

I wonder if the engine could even see a year or twos worth of life...pretty hard to believe but I hope its true. It'd be nice to have another option to make the 2.8's fast

it is most likely a 12v, and everything has to be standalone for management. the compression ratio has to be through the roof (13:1+) and the engine probably has a redline in the 9-12k range. especially if the displacement was untouched.

whats so special about a 12v? I thought the 30v would be the better motor for the job.

you can mod the intake, exhaust, chip, suspensions...and i think that's about it..unless if you're up for supercharging your 2.8
oh yeah and upgrading your brakes...as far as tech. stuff...

whats a good intake to put in my 96 2.8 a4, and as far as chip can i put one in my car, cause i was told i cant... and as far as muffler im putting in remus 3' muffler

i heard that carbonio is a good intake altough i'm not sure if they have it for 2.8....
and why can't you chipped your car...do you have the 12 Valves 2.8?
