    Variable Valve Timing?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So does anyone know how this works (2.8 model) I was reading about the engine and all and it said that I've got variable valve control. My friend has a Nissan Sentra with pretty much a VVTi and he initiates his VVTi by tapping on the gas twice. Is there anything that we have to do to initiate our variable valve timing or does it do it automatically?

    Thanks in advance!

What year car do you have? And the answer is there is no way initiate anything like that. It isn't like Vtec that kinda kicks in.

Tapping the gas twice? For some reason I find that really funny.

    Ahahahahha! that's a good one!

The only thing you ahve to "do" to "activate" VVT is step on the gas.

I kinda figured it was BS to begin with. I could just imagine what old people would look like trying to get their VVT to kick in... But hey, he is a rice boy so whatever. I just ignore him all the time anywho...

to activate your turbo you have to tap the gas 3 times and honk once while flashing your high beams!
