    Constructive Criticism (PICS). Please

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I am accepting any and all constructive criticism on these pictures. I've gone into "business" making posters for my boss. He sells them with cars to customers. The first two I made for my buddy and his cars, the m3 was for my other buddy, and the other two were for customers. They are all 11"x17".

What do you all think of them? Rate them individually please. What looks good? What doesn't? I'm going to continue making these for my boss as per request (tomorrow I'm doing a Carrera C4S for our website).

I took all pictures and did all editing for each poster. I was thinking about getting a portfolio together and sending them to some companies and see if they are interested in any business with me. Do you think they are good enough (obviously I'll make more before I send anything) to get any offers? Any company suggestions to send to?

    Thank you everyone for comments.

NICE! All of those are pretty ballar. The only constructive criticism I have is for this one:

I was never a fan of a car just "hovering" there. It seems like they always need somthing to rest on, be it the border or some natural "surface" in the design. Know what I mean?

You do great work, with the poster JMG spoke about above I would say with all the little pictures on the side make them move in a progresive order around the car ie. start with front go left, rear and the right...it might give an interesting effect.

Great work. I assumed you were already a pro. Some comments I have:
    • The 318i looks a bit like Kilroy looking over the wall. Perhaps a different angle would look better.

    • I thought you might have incorporated the BMW logo into the M3 and 318i posters, since it's an integral part of the car itself (more so than, say, the "Nissan" logo is with a Nissan--who immediately recalls what the Nissan logo looks like?) I wouldn't place the logo in an obvious place, such as the corner. I'd make it more subtle, blended into the background somehow.
    • The backgrounds on some of the small pics (like buildings) distract from the subject, so it's not immediately obvious what it is. e.g. in the Lambo poster, the building window right above the Lambo's rear window. I'd like to see this poster re-worked without all the backgrounds, like buildings, overhead wires, and other cars (unless they are also Lambo's)

Don't forget to post the Carrera C4S poster!

If you look at the background of the 318 poster, I actually did.. maybe it was a little too subtle.

    Again, thanks for the c.c.
