Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My mods are listed in my sig, I was wondering what i should do to get more power. Please dont say turbo upgrade, i cant afford that

I dont have much money anymore so here is what i came up with

    1. change to Revo programming
    2. just save for a FMIC

Im trying to find the least expensive solution. Any opinions are welcome. TIA

you can try REVO and purchase the sps 3 unit. this would allow you to up the boost on your car. ecode testpipe would be another good purchase. FMIC would also work well.

is an FMIC really going to net him anymore power...?

it's only going to work if he upgrades the turbo... or is it different on the A4's...?

on the Evo upgrading the FMIC would only net a marginal result unless you were bringing more air in to cool...

hehe, i thought about that too, but nah, the side skirts make it look funny if the stocks are on.

Im leaning more towards the revo because its like half the cost of FMIC

    thanks for your adivise,

anyone else want to put in their .02??

Tim, the Carbonio intake is going to be coming out soon and it looks very promising. Also, if you go to the group5 motorsport website and look at the project car (oettinger a4), you'll see the hyper ground system and another electrical mod that add about 4 hp each, it's dynoed. both are about $120 each.

Lastly, i'd like to see pics of your car if you could, i'm thinking about getting movens and would love to see pics.

I would agree with this. And then add toluene to your tank.

For 20 bucks or so, give anthony at greedspeed a call and get is N75 sleeves. They will pick you up anywhere from 3psi to 10psi of boost depending upon which sleeve you pop in. cheers! Mike

Just an FYI on the hyper grounding system...Unfortunately they made big claims but it resulted in a loss of hp and torque when independently tested by euro tuner.

Before I got chipped, I installed a new N75 valve and noticed an immediate increase in power! Unfortunately I am not sure which letter it is. I believe it is from an S4.

I wouldn't think that a FMIC gives you much added HP, but just keeps you from losing what HP you do have due to heatsoak.

Hey bhvrdr, your opinion is one that i've trusted and have known is educated so i should probably ask you if this is BS or not. It's a hyper voltage system.

That intake, is it going to give problems when I have to get smogged?? It does look like a nice setup.

What about the test pipe, that wont pass smog either right?

I doubt I will go with the n75 valve because im worried that the turbo might be overworked, the psi for the ko3 should be no more than 15psi right? If im using the NS 1.2 bar then that is about 14psi??

Thanks again for your opinions and wisdom fellas

You can run the K03 at 1.5bar all day long. The GIAC X-chip on the B5 did this all the time. It is a tough little turbo. It will let off boost on it's own after 4600rpms. It is the E05 that you dont want to put more than 17psi through due to it being modified in the wheels. This throws off the dynamic balancing that the K03 and K04 have. cheers! Mike
