Got a small tear in the seat. I'd hate to see it spread, what could I do to stop it?

You could try that liquid leather stuff they sell on infomericals. I think you can get it for about $10 in most stores or tons of places online.

The hardest part for me when I used it was matching the color to my Ecru interior. They give you a bunch of colors, and you have to mix your own to match it up. Very hard to do with Ecru. The stuff works though. Not sure how long it will last, but it worked.

Hmm, other than what DDQ mentioned I'm not sure.

I have a tear in my leatherette as well. I went to a few places to see about having it fixed. All of them claimed it could not be repaired and that I'd have to have a new seat cover put on. Of course they couldn't match the OEM fabric either. Hopefully you have better luck.

You can get it restored by a professional for about $30.
I have a friend with a tear in his leatherette bolster that had it done and it looked fine to me.

I'll have to find someone here in Jax to do mine. Got a small (1") tear in the left side of my drivers seat and it has since spread to about 6"! Plus, the stiching has come apart in the ass part of the seat, hopefully they can fix that too.

He fixes leather and vinyl seats. I think he was specialized in repairing car interiors. I was going to have him fix my bolster as well, but ... well.. we all know what happened to my car.

I have a crack in my driver's seat on the seat bolster (bump on the outside seat surface that your left cheek touches). I bought one of those "leather/vinyl repair kits" like DDQ mentioned.

Stay the hell away from that stuff. It ruined my seat!!

The color match kit allows you to mix colors to "make" your own. I pulled the car outside in direct sunlight to get a good view of the original color and I mixed the colors until I had a dead on match.

I used white, some brown and a touch of yellow to make the Ecru color.

The problem is that when you warm the stuff to make it turn into the bonding agent, the colors changed. The yellow became brighter than the white and brown and it looked like garbage.

In order to get it back off, I had to use some sandpaper to lightly buff off the repair crap. Now I have a cracked AND faded seat.

Just find a professional that can mend it for you with real materials.
