A new bulletin board for Christians

Go ahead and give it a try. I've been wanting to start a Christian based bulletin board where believers can discuss topics regarding our faith and other things as well. My intentions are not to take traffic away from Audizine.com but to offer the members another source of information. You can find this site at www.forgivendriven.com. It is still in the beginning stages and I still have a lot to do. That doesn't mean we can't get some discussions going. Thanks

The only possible reason for which I could forsee myself posting there is that there are a few good Christian hardcore bands... such as Norma Jean and As I Lay Dying.

As far as that site originally posted goes....I just don't see the point. I'm agnostic, and that's something that is between me, and myself. Meaning, religion, or lack thereof, should be something personal. Where your seeking your own answers and being one on one with your "higher power" "god" etc.... It shouldn't be something you converse about with other people, seeking others advice on something so personal. It's like asking someone if you should seek out your lost father. It's just too personal.

Now one might bring up the point, "We don't talk about god all the time, or this that about god" Well then why make a forum specifically for Christians. Go to a general forum, unless, your too good to speak to us heathans. ;-) Kidding. But really, I just don't see the point in a nonsecular forum like that when you can talk about general stuff on any other forum. Like AZ(plug!)


Could anyone imagine making a forum specifically for Agnostics? It's just silly. It's something that goes beyond the "community" of eachothers beleifs, keep it personal.

Just my .2 cents. And if anyone thinks im some Anti-god punk, you can suck me dry.

i'm not really into the whole christian thing... i didn't know even norma jean and AILD were christian until months after discovering them.

i'm into a whole lot of hardcore, indie and emo stuff... i listen to a wide variety of hardcore. i don't like all the subgenres, because they're too confusing. but i listen to anything from metalcore like avenged sevenfold to spazcore like the locust.

if ya want i can go through my itunes and type up a list of bands i listen to

I have no idea how to roll' through your Itunes :( But yeah, I'm into alot of hardcore as well. Big fan of Seventh Star, Throwdown, Hatebreed, etc....basically any band that wears jeresey's and white shoes without socks. Haha...i'm into alot of Thursday, At the Drive in, Blindside as well. I listen to a whole bunch of shit....

Ever listen to some old school hardcore like Gorilla Biscuits or Charles Manson?

ehhh i hate throwdown with a passion. maybe it's how they flaunt their straight-edge image... i don't care if a band is straight edge, but when they make songs about it, they can go to hell.


hatebreed is hilarious. they come out on stage dressed like fratboys with white baseball hats on and are like "let's make the biggest mother****ing mosh pit ever". funny stuff.


at the drive-in is probably one of my favorite bands of all time. have you heard brazil? they sound a lot like atdi... i saw them a couple weeks ago. they are amazing.

Hatebreed has commercialized themselves well though. They are making good money making hardcore music. Most hardcore bands could only dream of profiting financially from their music. Throwdown is a great live band, thats what I like most about em'. As well as Seventh Star, awesome awesome live show.

Haven't heard Brazil before, but i'll check em' definantly. I do like the old singers of ATDI's new project. Forgot what it was called....

the mars volta is cedric bixler-zavala (lead vocals) and omar rodriguez's (lead guitar) new band. jim ward (guitar, vocals) and the rest of the guys formed sparta.


and i never said hatebreed wasn't good. their live show is just funny.

throwdown is a local orange county band. they used to play at a little place called Koo's Cafe, but it got shut down a few years back.

haha, no no no. the only bands mentioned in this thread that i know are christian are norma jean and as i lay dying. some of the bands VRsic talked about may be christian, but i don't know. the mars volta, sparta, at the drive-in, avenged sevenfold and the locust are NOT christian.


despite avenged sevenfold's biblical name, they are not a christian band.
