    You may want to check the detailing forum on vwvortex. It has been years since I wet sanded and my info would be old.

    You can't wetsand a car with clearcoat.
    You'll just pull the clear coat off and make everything look awful.

    You really shouldn't need to either. A good polish should be all you need to make the clear coat look good.
