Question I know this may sound like a stupid question but.....

I was doing surgery on the RedRocket again tonight and I have a question....

Will the Bosch 5 Bar FPR say 5.0 on it? Or is it a modified 4.0 FPR? I'm asking this because the FPR in my AWE kit says 4.0 bar on it and that's exactly what I just removed from the car.....

i asked the same question to AWE and they told me it was modified. just dont get them mixed up cause i think the only way to tell them apart is that 5.0 is written on the box the fpr came in

i think yhou can tell the difference between the awe one and the stock. if you look on the modified one(awe) it looked to be punched in on the top part of it further than the 4 bar was, i believe that is what is modified on it so the awe should have a deeper punch.

Hey thanks guys. That's a relief. I'm glad to hear that I got the right parts at least.

There was a debate on this. I guess it really varies between every year. I hear VWs have the 3 bar.

Well just for the record then:

    97 1.8T QM = 4 bar.
