Comp. Ppl HELP!

So we had a power outage this morning and wisely my mom left her computer on, against my advisory because we have no power outage protector thing, so it won't turn on or anything anymore. So is it the powersupply or somethign else???

I dunno much about comps, so I'm speculating.

hard to say...you could always go get a new power supply from compusa or something, try it out, and if that doesn't fix it, return it...

I would say it's the power supply though...

otherwise, it might boot then hang up or something like that.

Is it plugged into a powerbar that has serge protection. If so check to see if the powerbar was tripped.

i fixed it. i unplugged it and plugged it back in... they said they did it, but i think they lied.

lol... remember that there are 2 or sometimes 3 ways to turn a computer on.

the case
an additional power switch on back (older models)
the power cord

If it donesn't turn on, just make sure you reset all of them.

First get new cmos battery, then make sure memory chips are securly on the board, finally reset and make sure your vid card is hook up to monitor with good quality cord.
