I don't know of anyone that uses that one. To be honest, it looks like something you'd see on a laptop in Fast and Furious. It's basically a hybrid between a VAG-com and a Pocket Dyno.

    I have the VAG-com from www.ross-tech.com
For the USB cable and registered software, it costs about $250. If you have a serial port on your laptop, you can get the cable from www.obdtool.com and then pay $99 to Ross Tech to register the software.

No, there is no sensors on the car that can give you hp/tq numbers. However, you can calculate them on your own using other variables you can log on the VAG-com. This would basically be the same thing as what the pocket-dynos do.

Either way, the numbers will never be very accurate, at all. The only thing they're really good for is to compare net changes in figures when testing new mods or when tuning. Even then, there's a lot of variables that can skew the numbers that you can't really account for, like ambient temps, slope of the road, etc....

Here is the link for the butt-dyno spreadsheet that Andy from Ross-Tech developed. The spreadsheet link is at the bottom of his post: http://forums.audiworld.com/vag/msgs/457.phtml

I wouldn't pay the extra money for the OBDII scanner with the so-called "dyno" included.

Also, if you want to use a Palm based scanner, then maybe checkout the ProDiag software, I think www.achtuning.com sells it. Here's a great thread on the differences b/t Ross-Tech and ProDiag: http://forums.audiworld.com/vag/threads/193.phtml#700

That looks pretty inaccurate. If you want some estimated #s just get a G-Tech
