    things i can do while doing timming belt..

    hi all.. i wonder there's anything i can do while i am doing my timming belt which can save me some labor..for example KO4 kit,clutchs..and stuff like that..

    all your info. will be helpful to me..

    yup.. replace your BPV.. if you havent done that already....
    K04.. if you want to... I would definately suggest... an EFK.

    haha by the way i already got my snub mount,dv done.. EFK sounds good.. so is ko4 and timming belt completely diff parts of the engine where i can do them seperately or i should do it together to save some labor??

    You should save some money by having the K04 upgrade done at the same time.

    Also, FMIC is another mod that would save labor.

    Agreed, do it yourself and save big(if you know what you are doing!). Get some belts, a water pump, thermostat, and flush the cooling system.

    Its not like you have to remove the k04 in order to do the timing belt. It would definitely be easier while the front of the engine is apart, but you can also do it while the front end is on.

    I installed the lightweight crank pulley when I did my timing belt and my car is running fine. I do hold my boost up alot longer now and 3rd gear pulls a lot harder. I would personally recommend it only if you don't plan on putting in a lightweight flywheel cus it will mess up your harmonic balancer. But if you just put in the crank pulley it will make a difference.

    This may sound crazy, but if your car has high miles you may want to consider ripping everything down and changing the camshaft seals

    Might want to change out the seals. I did my timing belt myself and put everything back together to find out I had an oil leak!
