    timming belt change

    hi all, my car will turn 60000 miles soon and just wanna know where can i have my timming belt change for cheap in bay area..

    also i wonder if i can save any labor if i do the KO4 kit installation /clutch or both.. along with the timming belt change.

    DIY its easy i did it in about 3 1/2 hours. along with waterpump and thermostat.

    but i am not mechanically inclined.. and i can't find anyone who is expierienced that could work with me..that's the main problem..

    I think it's like 900-1000 for parts and labor but give them a call to make sure.

    you can buy the parts from blau (www.audiquattroparts.com) or www.ecstuning.com. maybe cheaper to get the parts and have a shop install them for you. decent write up on AW if you want to do it yourself. a friend helped me do mine, but it took about 6 hours b/c we took our time. also installed a greedspeed snub mount at the same time.

    what does DSR stand for? I tried looking it up on yahoo yellowpages, but couldn't find it. I need to change my timing belt too i'm running close to 68500 miles. I would change it myself because I've done almost all my mods by myself, but now that I've moved back to the bay area, I don't have all the tools that my old roommate supplied for me. Also, Anything else I should change besides timing belt, water pump and snub mount? Should i change my thermostat?
