    replacing battery question

    I just replaced mine with a Optima red top.Cost me about $105.

    I think I paid $60 for mine.

    Don't you have to fabricate some kind of harness to use the Optimas? I was under the impression they didn't fit properly with the stock setup.

    not that they dont fit properly... there are no mounting points for it.

    educate me about optima yellow tops... where can i buy the cheapest one what do u mean they have no mounting points?

    I just got finished with my installation of an Odyssey PC925.

    Its considerably smaller than the stock battery and weighs 26lbs.

    I did have to make a holding bracket to make it fit sungly within the compartment. I am going to post up pics of the complete install tonight. It wasn't too hard to get it to fit.

    what part of no mounting points was difficult to understand?

    no need for a yellow top unless u have xtra goodies such as an amp for your sub/speakers..or other acc. that require a deep cycle batt.

    Well leme add this....i have a yellow top in my a4 and i love it...but i also have 2 12 inch eclipse titainium subs with 2 500/1's powering them...so i need the battery.....if u dont need it then save ur self the money an go to sears
